Calla Lim serves as a Tutor in the Department of Audio Arts and Sciences at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. She is an accomplished audio engineer with extensive professional experience in both studio and live sound production across Singapore's music industry, having collaborated with numerous renowned musicians and composers.
Her educational background combines classical music training and advanced audio engineering studies:
- Classical piano training from age 5, culminating in ABRSM Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance (Piano) and ABRSM Grade 8 in Theory
- Diploma with Distinction in Audio Production from LASALLE College of the Arts (2018)
- Bachelor of Music (Audio Arts and Sciences) with Highest Distinction from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (2023)
Lim's professional expertise spans audio engineering disciplines including Dolby Atmos spatial audio, film sound post-production, theatrical live sound reinforcement, and electronic music production. Her notable projects feature the Dolby Atmos project "Levels for Large Ensemble" (2023) as lead sound engineer, assistant recording engineer for Ruvindi Jayakody's album "Pieces of My Heart" (2019), post-production for Singapore International Film Festival's "Newborn" (2020), and MIDI programming for IMP ACT's "Dying Heart" (2021), alongside live sound engineering for productions including "Caucasian Chalk Circle" (2018) and "Picasso's Women" (2017).
