Caitlin Craggs

Caitlin Craggs is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Digital Arts and Animation at Pratt Institute's School of Art. As a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Brooklyn, she creates experimental animations for music videos, documentaries, and TV, blending digital and analog techniques.

Her research focuses on experimental animation, creative energy visualization, and social practice in art. Recent work explores motion as a metaphor for artistic processes through projects like KINESTHESE (2022), which combines digital animation with analog color techniques.

Selected screenings of her work include La Guarimba, Turku Animated Film Festival, and Piccolo Festival Animazione. Awards include funding from the Sundance Institute and Princess Grace Foundation.
