Caitie Finlayson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Mary Washington. She holds a Ph.D. in Geography from Florida State University (2012) and a B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Winthrop University (2007). Her research focuses on Cultural Geography, with specific emphasis on the Geography of Religion, nature-society interactions, and geographic theory.

Her scholarly work explores sacred spaces, affective geographies, and the intersection of spirituality with environmental studies.
