Cadhla O Sullivan is a Research Fellow at the Children's Policy Centre within the Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University (ANU). She holds a PhD in Social Science, Education and Social Work from Queen's University Belfast (2023), an MSc in Children's Rights from Queen's University Belfast (2019), and a BSc in Social Science from University College Cork (2018).
Her research focuses on child rights, youth wellbeing, and peacebuilding through participatory, creative methodologies. Key areas include child development, social cohesion, and qualitative research ethics. She has conducted ethnographic studies in Colombia examining theater-based interventions for peacebuilding and contributed to systematic reviews on social-emotional learning in low- and middle-income countries.
Her publications span academic journals, book chapters, and case studies, emphasizing participatory approaches in conflict-affected regions. She has presented globally on child justice, human rights, and policy frameworks. Her work with the LINKS team highlights interdisciplinary collaboration between Queen’s University Belfast and Lancaster University.
Her expertise integrates public policy, child welfare, and participatory research design, with a focus on marginalized communities. Current projects emphasize sustainable education and ethical research practices involving children.
