معرفی
Professor Cremona Ottavio is a leading academic in the field of Human Anatomy at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University (UniHSR), Milan. He earned his MD in 1989 and PhD in Human Oncology in 1993 from the University of Torino, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Geneva and Yale University's Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His research focuses on clathrin-mediated endocytosis, particularly synaptic vesicle dynamics, with long-standing collaborations with the De Camilli laboratory.
Research Trends: Recent publications highlight his work in retinal diseases (e.g., Müller cell pathology, perivascular gliosis in retinitis pigmentosa), neurodegenerative conditions (Friedreich's ataxia astrocyte dysfunction, TDP-43 proteinopathy in ALS models), and developmental neuroscience (Purkinje cell differentiation, cerebellar neurogenesis). His studies integrate multimodal imaging, molecular pathology, and neurobiology.
