Claire Mulvenna is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and School Sport at Edgehill University with over 15 years of experience in coaching and performance analysis. She has worked in elite girls' football environments and as a performance analyst in the English Football League. Her research focuses on the use of performance analysis by coaches, coach development, and the integration of analytical tools in sports coaching.
Research interests include the contextual application of performance analysis, academy football coaching practices, and the role of analysts in shaping coach behavior. She has completed a PhD exploring how clubs and coaches contextualize performance analysis frameworks.
Teaching responsibilities include practical modules on the BA(Hons) Physical Education and School Sport program. Recent projects include studies on performance analysis in the English Football League and the efficacy of reflective conversations as a professional development tool for analysts.
