CLAIRE HARPER

Claire Harper is a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Science at Edge Hill University, focusing on vasculogenesis in human placental development and mechanisms of early fertilization to improve fertility outcomes. She holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham and has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Liverpool and University of Manchester. Her research integrates cellular imaging, stem cell differentiation, and inflammation signaling, with notable contributions to understanding NF-κB pathways and reproductive hormone regulation.

Her awards include two 'Best Oral Communication' prizes (2017, 2018). Claire supervises PhD and MRes students and serves on committees for maternal and women's health research. Recent work includes studies on blended learning in higher education and the impact of testosterone on endometrial cells.
