C. Daniel Myers is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, College of Liberal Arts. His office is located at 1309 Social Sciences Building, 267 19th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55455. He holds a Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University (2011) and a B.A. in Political Science from Allegheny College (2005), with post-doctoral training at the University of Michigan.
Myers' research intersects political psychology, communication, and public opinion. His current work examines partisan stereotypes (how people conceptualize political parties) and local vs. national news effects on political perceptions. Methodologically, he focuses on experimental designs and causal inference in political science. Earlier research explored institutions inspired by deliberative democratic theory.
