C. Brian Rose is the James B. Pritchard Professor of Archaeology at the University of Pennsylvania, affiliated with the School of Arts & Sciences and the University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. He serves as Curator-in-Charge of the Mediterranean Section and has held leadership roles including Immediate Past President of the Archaeological Institute of America and Trustee of the American Academy in Rome.

His work integrates field archaeology with historical analysis, emphasizing dynastic commemoration, urban topography, and chronology studies.
Publication Trends: Recent works explore Troy’s Greek and Roman phases, Iron Age Gordion’s chronology, and Phrygian cultural landscapes. His research bridges classical antiquity with Anatolian studies, often addressing interdisciplinary themes like myth, material culture, and historical narratives.
