C A. Aligne

Dr. C A. Aligne is an Associate Professor (Part-Time) in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), with a joint appointment at the Center for Community Health and Prevention. He serves as the Director of the Hoekelman Center, focusing on community health initiatives. Dr. Aligne holds an MD and BS from UCLA, and an MPH from the University of Rochester.

His research emphasizes evidence-based community health programs, public health training for professionals, and social/environmental determinants of health. Key areas include pediatric health advocacy, tobacco exposure effects on children, asthma epidemiology, and preventive interventions in underserved communities.
