Stephanie A. Gamble

Stephanie A. Gamble, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) and a Research Psychologist at the VA VISN 2 Center of Excellence for Suicide Prevention. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University at Buffalo and completed postdoctoral training at URMC.

• Expert in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

Her research explores the intersection of depression, alcohol dependence, and trauma, particularly in women. She has developed training curricula based on the SBIRT model and mentors in behavioral treatment research. Dr. Gamble has received grants from the NIAAA and contributed to foundational work on IPT adaptation for comorbid conditions.
