Dr Bysshe Inigo Coffey is a Departmental Lecturer in English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford, affiliated with Balliol College and St. Anne’s College. His research focuses on Romantic and Victorian literature, textual scholarship, and interdisciplinary debates between literature and philosophy. He has authored a critically acclaimed monograph, Shelley’s Broken World, and is completing a reception history study, Shelleyolatry and Shelleyphobia.

Awards: His first book was shortlisted for the University English First Book Prize (2021). His research has been supported by the British Academy as a Postdoctoral and Early Career Fellow at Balliol College.
