Will Bowers is a Senior Lecturer in Eighteenth-Century Literature and Thought at Queen Mary University of London’s School of English and Drama, and Co-Director of Undergraduate Admissions. He holds degrees from UCL (BA, PhD) and Oxford University (MSt, MA). His research explores Romantic and Eighteenth-Century poetry, comparative literature (focusing on English, Italian, and Greek traditions), literary coteries, scholarly editing, and the blank verse tradition. He co-edited *Re-evaluating the Literary Coterie, 1550–1830* and authored *The Italian Idea* (2020), which won the European Society for the Study of English First Book Prize. His current projects include a monograph on Shelley and Greece and a digital resource, *Dined*, analyzing Eighteenth-Century dining culture.
Teaching includes modules on poetry, satire, Romanticism, and international literature. His supervision focuses on Byron, Shelley, Wordsworth, and comparative studies. Public engagement includes BBC Radio 4 contributions, museum collaborations, and widening participation initiatives.
