Dr. Byron G. Curtis is a Professor of Biblical Studies at Geneva College since 1991, specializing in Old Testament studies and biblical Hebrew. His research spans late Old Testament prophecy, Persian period Palestine, and history of biblical interpretation.
- PhD in Hermeneutics and Biblical Interpretation (Westminster Theological Seminary, 2005)
- MDiv (Reformed Theological Seminary, 1980)
- BA in Biblical Studies (Geneva College, 1976)
Research focuses on Zechariah, social location analysis, and interdisciplinary connections between theology and natural science. He has taught at Jerusalem University College (2011) and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Recent projects include tracing Zechariah's interpretation history from the Septuagint to modern commentaries, and evaluating John Calvin's Old Testament exegesis with co-authors.
