Byeongwoon Song

Byeongwoon Song, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, Meharry Medical College. His research focuses on lysosomal biology and its intersection with infectious and neurodegenerative diseases.

Research Themes & Projects: He actively investigates lysosomal homeostasis as a therapeutic target for Niemann-Pick disease type C and examines the role of lysosomal function in viral replication. His work spans microbiology, immunology, and physiology.
