Dr. Burcu Ucaray-Mangitli is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Political Science, University of Göttingen, where she has been affiliated since 2018. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (2016), preceded by studies at Bilkent University. Her doctoral research analyzed econocrats' roles in IMF compliance, supervised by Prof. Robert Pahre.
Her research explores how individual actors—particularly bureaucrats—shape international cooperation. Key interests include:
