Buffany DeBoer is an Instructor in the Department of Life Sciences at Wayne State College. She holds a Master of Science in Biology (1998) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a chemistry minor (1995), both from Wayne State College. Prior to her academic role, DeBoer worked at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, led the physical therapy department at a Wakefield, Neb. care center, and served in quality control at Michael Foods' Big Red Farms. She is actively involved in science education, serving as a science fair judge and recognized in Who's Who Among America's Teachers twice.

- Morphology-associated virulence of Trichomonas gallinae
- Ecological roles of earthworms in prairie and agricultural ecosystems
- General education biology and environmental science instruction
