Budimir Rosic is an Associate Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of St Anne's College. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge's Whittle Laboratory, where his research focused on turbine aerodynamics and leakage flows in collaboration with Siemens Power Generation. Prior to Oxford, he served as a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries senior research fellow and a college lecturer at the University of Cambridge.
- Education: Undergraduate degree from the University of Belgrade (Serbia), Ph.D. from University of Cambridge (2005)
His research expertise centers on turbomachinery, steam turbine dynamics, power plant optimization, and fluid dynamics. Notable contributions include pioneering work on tip leakage flow control in turbine rotors, recognized by the ASME Gas Turbine Award in 2006 and 2011.
Professional affiliations include membership in ASME since 2002 and service on IGTI’s Turbomachinery Committee. His current role integrates academic leadership with advanced engineering research in energy systems and thermal-fluid sciences.
