Bryndis Birnir

Professor Bryndis Birnir is a leading researcher at Uppsala University's Department of Medical Cell Biology within the Faculty of Medicine. She founded the GABA Lab at Uppsala University in 2008, establishing herself as a prominent figure in neuroscience and diabetes research.

Her primary research focuses on the multifaceted roles of the signaling molecule GABA (γ-aminobutyric acid) across different physiological systems.
