Bryan Conway is a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Cardiovascular Science within the University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on the pathogenesis of diabetic nephropathy, utilizing novel rodent models and unbiased gene expression analysis to understand mechanisms of disease regression through blood sugar and blood pressure control. He collaborates extensively with Prof John Mullins, Dr Matt Bailey, Dr Laura Denby, Dr Jeremy Hughes, Prof Neil Henderson, and Prof Nik Morton, as well as the Edinburgh Type 2 Diabetes Study Investigators.
- Research Themes: Diabetic kidney disease, obesity-driven type 2 diabetes, urinary biomarkers, hypertension, and cardiometabolic imaging.
- Collaborations: Interdisciplinary partnerships within the Centre for Cardiovascular Science and the Centre for Inflammation Research (CIR).
