معرفی
Bruno Miranda is an Assistant Professor and Junior Researcher at the Institute of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, and a Clinical Researcher at the Mamede de Carvalho Lab, Institute of Molecular Medicine. His work integrates clinical neurology with computational neuroscience to investigate human-environmental interactions and neuropsychiatric manifestations.
His educational background includes:
- Medical Degree (2006), University of Lisbon
- PhD in Neuroscience (2016), University College London and Champalimaud Foundation
- Specialist in Neurology (2019)
Miranda's research focuses on computational models of goal-directed behavior and decision-making, employing behavioral analysis, neurophysiology, and neuroimaging to study reinforcement learning strategies. His transdisciplinary approach extends to neurourbanism and neuroarchitecture, examining how urban environments and architectural designs impact cognitive and neural processes. Key methodologies include biomonitoring, digital health technologies, and computational modeling of environmental interactions.
He leads initiatives in the eMOTIONAL Cities project and Mamede de Carvalho Lab, fostering collaborations between neuroscience, urban planning, and architectural design to address failures in environmental modeling underlying neuropsychiatric conditions.
