Bruce Mason

Bruce Mason serves as a Research Fellow at the Usher Institute within the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He is based at the Advanced Care Research Centre (ACRC) located at the Usher Building, 5-7 Little France Road, Edinburgh BioQuarter.

Mason's research focuses on enhancing care systems for older adults with multiple long-term conditions through interdisciplinary approaches. The ACRC program combines expertise from medicine, engineering, informatics, and social sciences to address systemic challenges in healthcare delivery. His work contributes to developing frameworks that improve care transitions, reduce health inequalities, and enhance quality of life for vulnerable aging populations. The center employs systems engineering methodologies to analyze and redesign care pathways, creating more seamless and person-centered healthcare experiences.

As part of the ACRC team, Mason collaborates with researchers from multiple institutions including Newcastle University and University College London.
