Bruce Maxwell is a Professor at the Université de Montréal’s Faculté des sciences de l’éducation, specializing in education law, professional ethics, and the history of educational ideas. He holds a position in the Department of Educational Administration and Foundations and has been affiliated with institutions like the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières prior to 2020. His work bridges philosophical inquiry with practical educational challenges, focusing on ethical dilemmas in teaching, legal boundaries for educators, and the role of secularism in public schooling.
Education: B.A. in Philosophy (McGill University), M.A. in Philosophy (Université de Montréal), Ph.D. in Educational Sciences from the University of Münster, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre de recherche en éthique (CRÉ) at Université de Montréal.
