Bruce Lord

Bruce E. Lord is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Statistics at the Pennsylvania State University, affiliated with the Eberly College of Science. He also serves as a Supervisor for Harris Township since 2015. Lord holds a PhD in Forest Resources (2001), MS in Forest Resources and Operations Research (1987), and BA in Forest Science (1978), all from Penn State.

His research focuses on economic impacts of public lands, particularly outdoor recreation and the forest products industry. He explores topics such as visitor spending patterns, heritage tourism systems, and the economic implications of natural resource management.

Lord has published extensively on recreation economics, tourism impacts, and forest resource modeling. His work includes analyses of park visitor behavior, conference economics, and validation of economic impact models like IMPLAN.

He teaches courses such as STAT 240 (Introduction to Biometry), STAT 480-483 (SAS programming series), emphasizing statistical methods in biological and environmental applications.
