Dr. Bruce A. Garetz is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard College (cum laude, 1971) and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from MIT (1976). His research focuses on light-material interactions, including laser light scattering in block copolymers and laser-induced nucleation in supersaturated solutions. He has pioneered studies of grain structure in polymers and collaborated on microfluidic nucleation processes to control crystal morphology for industrial applications.
