Louise A. Dolan

Louise A. Dolan is a Kenan Distinguished Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her B.A. from Wellesley College (1971) and Ph.D. from MIT (1976), followed by postdoctoral and faculty positions at Harvard Society of Fellows, Rockefeller University, and UNC-Chapel Hill.

Her research focuses on quantum gravity, string theory, and theoretical particle physics, with connections to cosmology and high-energy physics. She leads a research group at UNC-Chapel Hill, which participates in the CoSMS Institute alongside astrophysics and nuclear physics programs.
