Brooke Campbell

Brooke Campbell is a Research Fellow at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS) within the University of Wollongong's Faculty of Business and Law. She holds an MSc in Resource Management from the University of British Columbia and a BSc in Natural Resources Conservation (Forestry). Her research focuses on sustainable marine resource management, inclusive decision-making, and the role of ICT in fisheries governance. Current projects emphasize multi-scalar governance dynamics and equitable solutions for fisheries conservation in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean.

Recent work includes contributions to UN Environment Programme reports on blue economy equity and analyses of virtual fisheries management mechanisms during the pandemic. She has secured funding for initiatives like 'Strengthening Marine Governance in Niue' and collaborates with global agencies such as ACIAR and WorldFish. Campbell also guest lectures in ANCORS fisheries management courses and is a part-time PhD candidate researching ICT's role in WCPF fisheries governance.

Her publications span marine policy, fisheries technology, and food security, with notable contributions to Environmental Science and Policy and Marine Policy. She is an IEEE member (2020–present) and has led participatory projects in Kiribati, Vanuatu, and the Caribbean.
