Bronwyn Harman is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Arts and Humanities, Edith Cowan University (ECU), where she has been employed full-time since 2008. Her teaching focuses on research applications, ethical issues, group processes, and systems consultation.

Her research explores contemporary issues in Australian families, particularly focusing on parenting practices, the concept of 'good' mothering/fathering, child freedom, and childlessness. She investigates the social dynamics of playgroups, including parental interactions and barriers to participation. Recent work delves into vaccine hesitancy and its societal implications, as well as the challenges faced by maternally bereaved mothers.
Bronwyn’s recent publications address childfree women’s societal perceptions, parental vaccination refusal, unstructured play predictors, and playgroup engagement. Her studies often employ qualitative methodologies to analyze maternal experiences and public health trends.

She has secured multiple grants for research projects, including studies on children’s unstructured play time, parental vaccination attitudes, and programs evaluating community parenting initiatives.
