Brodie Walker

Brodie Walker is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). She serves as co-Programme Lead for the BSc Public Health Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship and leads modules on health protection and evidence-based public health at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prior to joining UWE, she worked as a senior Epidemiologist at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), focusing on emergency preparedness and infectious disease modeling.

Her research emphasizes the communication of global infectious diseases with epidemic/pandemic potential, alongside addressing disparities in public health interventions. She has collaborated with organizations such as the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), NHS, and international health agencies on topics like COVID-19, RSV, and vector-borne diseases.
