Brittney Boykin is an Assistant Professor in the School of Music within the College of Design at Georgia Institute of Technology. Her creative practice focuses on Composition, Conducting, and Piano. She holds a B.A. in Music from Spelman College (2011) and an M.M. in Sacred Music (Choral Studies) from Westminster Choir College/Rider University (2013).
Her research includes commissioned works like “We Sing as One” for Spelman College’s 133rd Anniversary and residencies such as the 2017 Harry T. Burleigh Spiritual Festival. Collaborations extend to ACDA divisions, the Minnesota Opera, and the Kennedy Center.

- NAACP ACT-SO competition 1st place (3 consecutive years)
- Washington Post “Music and Dance Award” (2007)
