Brijith Thomas

Brijith Thomas is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at New York University Abu Dhabi, part of the Division of Science. He holds a PhD from Leiden University, Netherlands, and has conducted postdoctoral research at Ames Laboratory (Iowa State University) and the Weizmann Institute of Science. His research focuses on methodology development in solid-state NMR (SSNMR) and dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) to study advanced materials such as metal-organic frameworks, catalysts, and inorganic oxides.

Education: PhD in Chemistry (Leiden University, Netherlands), Postdoctoral training at Ames Laboratory and Weizmann Institute.

Research Interests:

• Integration of SSNMR, DNP, and electron diffraction for material characterization
• Supramolecular structure determination in energy-related materials
• Development of novel NMR crystallography protocols
