Brieuc PEROT is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Imagine Institute working in Mickaël Ménager's laboratory since September 2017, focusing on HIV-1 infection mechanisms and monogenic autoinflammatory diseases.
His educational background includes:
- Engineering degree from AgroParisTech
- Gap year research at Institute of Genetics and Microbiology (Orsay) studying E. coli CRISPR systems
- 6-month stint at Bureau of Sugar Cane Experiment Station/CIRAD in Australia optimizing pest prediction models
- Master's-equivalent internship at Harvard Medical School investigating microRNA impacts on leukemia cell apoptosis
- PhD at Pasteur Institute studying influenza A virus autophagy disruption
His research spans Immunology and Virology with emphasis on tetraspanin 7's role in HIV-1 virion transfer between dendritic cells and CD4+ T lymphocytes, alongside single-cell transcriptomics analysis of autoinflammatory disease patients. This work integrates Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics to decode host-pathogen interactions and immune response mechanisms.
Brieuc secured Sidaction funding for his HIV-1 research and actively trains students while contributing to laboratory setup and collaborative projects at the Imagine Institute.
