Bridget Abell

Bridget Abell is a Senior Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), affiliated with the School of Public Health & Social Work and the Australian Centre for Health Services Innovation. Her work focuses on implementation science and health services research, aiming to improve healthcare quality and equity through collaborative, stakeholder-driven approaches. She holds a PhD from Bond University and combines clinical experience as a Cardiac Physiologist with academic research.

Research Interests:
Implementation Science, Cardiac Rehabilitation, and participatory co-design with underserved populations such as CALD communities and rural/remote groups.

Awards:

• Best Poster Award at the 2015 Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association Conference
• Winner of Bond University 3-Minute Thesis Competition (2014)
• People's Choice Award and Best Exercise Paper at ACHRA 2014

Teaching & Leadership:
Led a postgraduate unit on implementation science at QUT and contributes to workshops on evidence-based practice. Serves as Queensland State President of the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association.
