Brianna Trainor is an Instructor of Music at Beloit College, specializing in percussion. She joined the college in 2022 and also teaches at Dolce Music Academy, where she has led private percussion and drum set instruction since 2020. She previously held teaching roles at the University of Missouri and Central Methodist University, and served as Director of Education & Outreach for the Missouri Symphony Conservatory.

- Minor in Women’s and Gender Studies
Research interests focus on ethnomusicology and world music performance. Trainor has conducted fieldwork in Ghana, studying traditional music and dance at the Dagbe Cultural Institute and Dagara Music Center. She is a founder of Wontanara CoMo, a cultural arts organization, and actively performs on and collects Sub-Saharan African percussion instruments.
Orchestral roles include Principal Percussionist of the Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra and Percussionist/Timpanist of the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra. She has contributed to over a dozen theater and opera productions. Community engagement includes serving as Board Member and String Camp Coordinator for the Turtle Creek Chamber Orchestra.
