Brian Reeves is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Studio Art Department at Boston College. He holds a B.F.A. from the University of Northern Iowa and an M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His creative work spans digital design, printmaking, and software development, with installations exhibited globally, including the Dalarnas Museum (Sweden), Hamni Photography Museum (Korea), and the Portland Museum of Art (Maine).
Reeves co-founded the Slop Art collaborative project in 1995, featured in group exhibitions across the U.S. and documented in publications like Printmaking at the Edge and The New Art Examiner. He developed applications such as Symmetro n drawing software and the Psy-clop-edia iPhone app. His teaching roles include Full-Time Visiting Faculty at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (2012–2015), where he founded the Pro-Activity Lab and Graphic Arts Public Lab. Currently, he teaches screen printing at Southern Maine Community College.
Reeves received a Maine Arts Commission grant for the Effluence Express project and has designed public artworks like Release 2 at MIT’s Cambridge campus. His editorial illustrations appear in The North American Review and other periodicals.
