Rachel Bruya is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, affiliated with the College of Arts & Human Sciences and the Visual & Performing Arts Department. Her practice spans printmaking, drawing, photography, and sculpture, exploring how sensory experiences influence subconscious thought and emotion.
- Education: M.F.A. in Printmaking from University of Wisconsin-Madison; B.F.A. in Photography from University of Washington.
Her work, informed by eight years in architecture firms, investigates the psychological impact of visual environments. Current exhibitions include Letting Go at UW-Stout’s Furlong Gallery, Empty Inside at Boston University’s 808 Gallery, and Almost Worn Out at Brinton Museum in Wyoming.
