Brian Muzás is an Associate Professor at Seton Hall University's School of Diplomacy and International Relations. His academic journey includes a B.S.E. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, an M.S. in Aeronautics from Caltech, an M.Div. in Pastoral Ministry and M.A. in Systematic Theology from Seton Hall University, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Texas at Austin. Ordained as a Catholic priest in 2003, he integrates theological perspectives into his academic work.
His research explores the intersection of religious heritage with international security, nuclear policy, and presidential decision-making. Primary domains include:
- Nuclear weapons ethics and religious cultural influences
- US presidential foreign policy frameworks
- UN governance and civil society engagement
- Interfaith dimensions of conflict resolution
