Brian Chu is a Professor of Studio Art specializing in painting, drawing, and printmaking. His artistic practice explores landscape abstraction and ordinary subject matter through exhibitions like 'The Thinking Hand' and 'Picturing the Ordinary' at Oxbow Gallery.
He has received residencies at Can Serrat (Spain), Klots Program (France), and Byrdcliffe Colony, along with awards including the Milton & Sally Avery Award. Teaching includes courses in painting design, drawing workshops, and printmaking techniques at undergraduate and graduate levels.
