Dr. Brian Christopher Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the University of Liverpool, part of the School of Law and Social Justice within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He joined Liverpool in 2023 after roles at the University of Sheffield, Dundee, and Liverpool Hope University, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Academia Sinica in Taipei. His research focuses on public law, comparative constitutional law, constitutional theory, judicial review, socio-legal studies, and law and democracy. He has published in journals such as International Journal of Constitutional Law and authored the monograph Constitutional Idolatry and Democracy (2020). His work has been cited by the UK Supreme Court and featured in media like the New York Times. He teaches modules including Advanced Public Law and Public Law.
