Brian Brooks is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Foundation Department at Pratt Institute and an instructor in the K-12 Center. He teaches in the Pratt Dice/Pratt Young Scholars programs and the Pre-College Program at the School of Visual Arts (SVA). Previously, he taught at Parsons for 13 years and served as Senior Museum Educator and coordinator of the GALLERY-STUDIO PROGRAM at the Brooklyn Museum. His work has been exhibited at institutions including Pratt's Schafler Gallery, the Rockland Center for the Arts, and the Staten Island Museum.
Education: B.F.A. from Pratt Institute, M.S.E. from Queens College, and M.F.A. from Brooklyn College.
His professional focus spans art education, museum curation, and studio practice, with a commitment to youth and pre-college programs. He has extensive experience in both academic and museum settings, blending pedagogy with creative practice.
