Dr. Brian Arnall is a Professor and Extension Specialist for Precision Nutrient Management in the Department of Plant & Soil Sciences at Oklahoma State University (OSU). He has been affiliated with OSU since 2006, serving as an Extension Specialist and Professor since 2019. His work focuses on precision agriculture technologies, nutrient management, and sustainable farming practices in Oklahoma's cropping systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Soil Science from OSU (2008) and teaches courses such as Precision Agriculture and Soil Nutrient Management.
His research emphasizes sensor-based technologies, remote sensing, and variable rate application to improve crop yields and profitability. He has secured over $2.5 million in grants, with 50+ successful projects, and developed 35 agricultural apps for iOS and Android. He has presented 600+ talks across 7 countries. Key areas of expertise include soil fertility, crop nutrition, and regenerative agriculture practices.
Dr. Arnall’s outreach includes editing roles for journals like Agrosystems, Geosciences and Environment and Crop, Forage and Turfgrass Management. His work bridges research and practical application, aiming to enhance nutrient use efficiency and reduce environmental impact through data-driven strategies.
