Brian A. Williams serves as Dean of the Templeton Honors College and Associate Professor of Ethics & Liberal Studies at Eastern University. His academic leadership includes roles as a former Lecturer in Theology and Christian Ethics at the University of Oxford and Director of 'Oxford Conversations.' He holds a D.Phil. in Christian Ethics from Oxford (Clarendon Scholar), an MA and ThM from Regent College, and a BA from Ozark Christian College.
Dr. Williams' research focuses on Didascalic Christian Humanism, examining figures like Hugh of St. Victor and John Henry Newman. His interdisciplinary interests span virtue ethics, classical education reform, and comparative religious political thought (Christian/Muslim). He has authored books on pastoral mentoring and edited volumes on practical moral theology.
His professional experience includes teaching theology at Cair Paravel Latin School, leading Quo Vadis Travel Seminars in Europe, and serving as a Distance Education Instructor at Regent College. He is also an Alcuin Fellow and Research Fellow with the Institute of Classical Education, advancing classical education initiatives.
