Brent Everett Dickinson is a Senior Lecturer at Otis College of Art and Design within the Creative Action, Liberal Arts and Sciences division. A multi-disciplinary artist and writer, his work spans exhibitions, performances, and screenings across the US, Canada, and Europe, including venues like the Essl Museum (Vienna), Socrates Sculpture Park (NYC), and Chelsea Music Festival (NYC). He collaborates internationally through projects such as the International Congress for Infrathin Studies (ICIS) and the Acid Archipelago ecology initiative.
- Education: MFA from Yale University, BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art
Research Interests focus on:
- Experimental use of Surrealist methodologies for political activism
- Community-based knowledge production systems
- Interdisciplinary approaches to ecological/economic/political crises
- Performance and media art as social practice
