Brenda Maynard is an Associate Professor of Business at the University of Pikeville (UPIKE). She holds a BS and MS in Business Education from Eastern Kentucky University, with additional advanced coursework in Computer Technologies from Morehead State University. Her teaching responsibilities include courses such as Computer Applications for Business, Management Information Systems, and Ethics in Business and Information Systems. She also advises internships in Business and Healthcare.
Dr. Maynard's research focuses on integrating technology into education, including 'best practices' for Windows and Microsoft Office, Google Docs certification, and online teaching strategies. She has extensive experience in cloud computing and the use of Apple iPads in educational settings.
She has participated in the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP) for 28 years as both a trainee and teacher educator. Her professional development includes the Patton Leadership Institute and the Leading Ladies Regional Women’s Leadership Conference. She regularly engages in podcasts, webinars, and workshops on technology applications in business education.
Maynard is involved with academic organizations such as Phi Beta Lambda and Sigma Beta Delta, promoting leadership and academic excellence in her field.
