Dr. Brenda K. Jones Davis serves as a Lecturer in the EdD Online in Learning and Organizational Change program at the Baylor School of Education, Baylor University. With over two decades of experience as a public school teacher and counselor across Texas, Missouri, and Wisconsin, she prepares experienced educators and professionals to become organizational change agents.
Her academic credentials include a B.S. from the University of Texas, M.A. from Lindenwood University, and Ph.D. from Baylor University. Her doctoral research earned the National Association of Gifted Children Research and Evaluation Network Dissertation Award.
Dr. Davis's research centers on gifted education with specialized focus on social-emotional development of gifted students, motivation, self-regulation, and gender-specific dynamics among gifted females. Her scholarly contributions appear in the Journal of Advanced Academics, Journal of Teacher Education and Educators, Gifted Child Today, and Tempo, reflecting interdisciplinary engagement with educational psychology and talent development.
Her distinguished recognition includes the National Association of Gifted Children Research and Evaluation Network Dissertation Award for her groundbreaking work "Influences on Academic Talent Development of High-Ability Black Females: An Explanatory Holistic Multiple-Case Design".
As an active scholar-practitioner, Dr. Davis has served on the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) board of directors with leadership roles in Leadership Development, Finance, and Education committees. She regularly presents research at conferences hosted by the National Association for Gifted Children, TAGT, and Council for Exceptional Children, addressing critical issues in gifted education and organizational change.
