Breidge Boyle

Dr. Breidge Boyle is an Associate Professor at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queen's University Belfast. She specializes in neonatal and children's health, focusing on post-traumatic stress in parents, family-centered care, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) practices. She actively contributes to research on parental experiences, healthcare systems, and patient/public involvement in neonatal studies.

Dr. Boyle is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Neonatal Nursing and has organized events like the Inaugural Regional Maternity and Neonatal Conference (2025). She has received the prestigious Lady Claude Hamilton Prize for Nursing Research (2001).

Her research spans qualitative and systematic reviews, addressing topics such as Kangaroo Care practices, healthcare professional perceptions of family-centered care, and risk factors for parental PTSD in NICU settings. She remains open to supervising PhD students in neonatal and children's health.
