Brayden Kameg, PhD, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP, CNE, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Community Systems at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. He coordinates the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program and teaches courses spanning substance use management, child/adolescent psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and psychiatric management in primary care.
- Research Focus: Substance use disorders, harm reduction, Buprenorphine treatment, veteran-centered care, and clinical education.
- Clinical Work: Co-founder of Peace of Mind Psychiatry and founding program director of the PMHNP residency program at Veterans Administration Pittsburgh Healthcare System.
- Professional Service: President-Elect for the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses (ISPN), Associate Editor for the Journal of Addictions Nursing, and Editor-in-Chief for the ISPN Connections Newsletter.
