Brant Kedrowski

His research centers on sustainable organic synthesis methodologies, with key projects including enzymatic stereocontrol for non-natural amino acid production (e.g., 2-methylcysteine), chemical upcycling of polystyrene waste, controlled PET oligomer synthesis for biodegradation studies, and greener Friedel-Crafts acylation protocols for undergraduate education.

Professor Kedrowski mentors students through Independent Study and Honors Thesis courses, integrating research into advanced undergraduate training while advancing circular economy solutions in polymer chemistry.
