Dr. Brandy Yee is an Assistant Professor of Education and holds multiple leadership roles including Associate Dean for Special Programs, Director of Liberal Studies in Education Program, and Director of the Master of Education Program at California Lutheran University. With 20 years of experience spanning K-12 and post-secondary education across Canada, Germany, and Finland, she specializes in creating responsive educational models. Her work focuses on fostering student engagement, academic achievement, and well-being, particularly for culturally diverse and economically disadvantaged learners.
Her research explores the neurobiology of adolescent development and the interplay between leadership, instructional practices, and student agency in middle-level education. She is a sought-after speaker and consultant, advising education districts globally. Dr. Yee serves on the board of MATES Charter Schools and edits online content for the National Association for Partner Development Schools (NAPDS). She was honored with the Edwin Parr Award early in her career for innovative teaching and exceptional student care.
