Brandon Del Pozo is an Assistant Professor at Brown University with dual appointments in Health Services, Policy and Practice and Medicine. His NIH-funded research focuses on public health interventions for overdose crises, substance use, and violence reduction, informed by his 23-year law enforcement career. Previously served as NYPD precinct commander, intelligence liaison in Jordan, and Chief of Police in Burlington (VT), where he engineered a successful opioid crisis response. Holds a PhD from CUNY (2020), MPA from Harvard (2004), and MPhil from John Jay College (2007).
